HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Diplomat Resort & Spa is proud to announce that its entire sales and marketing team has been certified through Cvent's Supplier Professional Certification Program and is the first property to be trained through this course. This program ultimately helps those certified save time during the RFP response process, converting more group business for the property which was recently acquired by Thayer Lodging Group and transitioned to a Curio - A Collection by Hilton.
"As the event planning process is so is so important to our property, we're thrilled that each of our group sales and catering associates were among the first to be certified by Cvent's comprehensive training program, said Ed Walls, general manager of the 998-room resort." "Not only will our staff be more effective and efficient while planning for groups and events, but they will also have a better understanding of technology available for meetings, RFPs and more."
The goal of the program is to help professionals better understand Cvent tools and the RFP process from a planner's perspective, ultimately decreasing lead response time and generating more group business.
"We made the decision to certify our entire group sales and catering staff to ensure that doing business with our property is every meeting planner's dream," said Jim Curtis, director of sales and marketing at Diplomat Resort & Spa.
In addition, the program helps increase a venue's exposure to planners, define the role of venue administrators, lead catchers and users, run relevant reports to help supplement team goals and leverage Cvent special features.
Located directly on the Atlantic Ocean, Diplomat Resort & Spa is South Florida's largest convention resort offering over 200,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space including a 50,000 sq. ft. unobstructed Great Hall, four ballrooms, and 39 breakout rooms.
